Effect Of Industrial Work Experience On Student In Tertiary Institution

The main aim of this project is to find out the effects of students industrial work experience scheme to the students in tertiary institutions in Federal Polytechnic Oko in Anambra State. The researcher considered whether students actually receive practical training in industries and how far the training has assisted in improving their performance in school. In chapter two the view of various writers that were relative to the topic were stated and reviewed. Questionnaire items were used to collect information from the respondents, which were analyzed by simple percentages. In chapter three, three hundred students were selected and supervised and only two hundred and twenty returned their questionnaires that were distributed to them. Also instrument used for data collection, method of data analysis and the sampling techniques all contained in this chapter. Chapter four deals with the analysis and interpretation of results which were analyzed by simple percentages. Finally, in chapter five, conclusions, recommendations and references were included.

This study seeks to an appraisal of the impact of personal selling in the marketing of industrial products can be used to achieved customers services with special reference
to Alex Aluminium Extrusion industries ITD Inyishi in Ikeduru.
Some related literatures were reviewed like the origin of Alex Aluminium Extrusion industries, major steps in an appraisal of impact of personal selling in the market of industrial products recruiting and selecting sales people, training of sales people increased relevance of personal selling in the marketing of industrial product
The Alex Aluminium has a staff population of 65 and consumer (2000) the marketing department were selected for sample size for staff 20. Sample size for consumer 344 the total questionnaire distributed 346 and 271 were collected.
The presentation of analysis and interpretation of data was made using percentage and chi-square statistical method is use in testing the hypothesis. It was ascertained that personal selling has helped Alex Aluminium Extrusion industries to achieve increase in productivity, increase market share and bring about good customer relation.

The student’s industrial work experience scheme (SIWES) Relevance to the Department of Secretarial Studies was researched upon. The instruments used was questionnaire ands this questionnaire items were used to answer the research questions. The results were collected and analyzed in the chapters that make up this study
Journals, Encyclopedia and project works of others scholars were used in the review of literature. Students of the department of secretarial studies of Institute of Management and Technology Enugu and (4) SIWES staff in Enugu were sampled and they constituted the respondents.
Based on the analysis, Major findings emerged revealing that students did receive practical work on the job training. The SIWES scheme further exposes students to proper methods of using and handling secretarial equipments and development.
However, the study concluded that if students are adequately exposed to research materials and facilities, if students are provided with thorough and proper supervision by supervisors, if orientation towards equipment and machinery handling was well fashioned out, there will necessary be an upsurge in performance rates

That employers ought to accept students supervisors need to be attached to individuals students. Students should be allowed to express and get themselves exposed to secretarial practices in order to acquire a deeper re-orientation before the commencement of the programme if adequate performance is to be guaranteed

This research was carried out to study the effects of Industrial Training on HND I students, Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri.
The study used a primary data collected by means of mail questionnaire of 15 questions.
A sample size of 206 students out of a population of 425 students determined by Yamani’s approach was used for this study which was selected by means of stratified random sampling.
It was noticed from the data analysis that students strongly support Industrial Training and that the performance of HND I students depend on the Industrial Training, showing that the positive effects of the one-year Industrial Training on HND I students are greater than those of the negative effects.
Conclusively, the research recommended some crucial matters that demand the attention of the government, the institution and the students.

 

 

 

 

 

This project undertakes a comparative study of assessing the contribution of industrial training fund n manpower development of Nigeria with references to ITF Emene.
The researcher made use of a very developed questionnaire and distributed it by himself. The population for the study consists of staff draw from vital department of ITF Emene. The departments are:
a. Top management
b. Middle management
c. Lower management.
The entire population of this study was staff and 40 staff responded to the request of the researcher.
The source of gathering data further study was through primary and secondary data. The primary source consist of oral interview while the secondary data consist of information gotten from contributing companies, ITF seminar paper presented at conference meeting, library and test books.
Data collected were recorded and grouped in tables for easy references. The researchers findings of the study had it that the major criticisms of the fund by the contributing companies were in the area of reimbursement, training time and scope of training.
From the findings, the researcher recommended that ITF should increase the reimbursement, rate and period of training time and should monitor the performance of training.
Conclusion is that it has been argued that proper utilization f an effective industrial training fund is vital for any organization. Also the profitability of any organization depends to a large extent on the satisfaction of the aspiration of the trainees.
Finally, industrial training fund achieved the extent of progress because they are seen as the blood wire that fuels the engine of the organization.

This research was carried out to find out the Impact of Industrial Training on Banking and Finance Students of I.M.T. Enugu. The project was divided into four chapters. Chapter one dealt with Background of the study scope of the study and limitation of the study.
Chapter two looked at the methodology used for the research, while chapter three gave a vertical analysis of the Related Literature Review, Historical Background of Industrial Training Fund and Development of SIWES.
