Effect Of Violent Film On Nigeria Female Children

This study examined the effects of violent film on Nigeria female children. Specifically, this study determined the harmful consequences of viewing violent films on female youngsters, learns more about how violent films influence female children’s behavior and provides recommendations for reducing the harmful impact of violent films on Nigerian female youngsters. The study employs the survey descriptive research design. A total of 259 responses were validated from the survey. The study adopts the cultivation theory. From the responses obtained and analysed, the findings reveals that the negative effects associated with watching violent films on women include increase the number of rape complaints, increase in adolescent pregnancies, women may be more fearful of the world around them etc. Furthermore, violent films affect the behaviour of Nigerian female children. The study recommends that the researcher suggests that the nation should be concerned to bring to bare, ways of solving the cultural deterioration that emanates from the influences the films(movie) industry should be sanitized by joint efforts of the ministry of information, national orientation agency, non-governmental organization(NGO), parents and institutions of higher learning.

The study’s main goal is to determine the impact of violent films on young Nigerian females. The following are the study’s particular goals:

  1. The purpose of this study was to determine the harmful consequences of viewing violent films on female youngsters.
  2. To learn more about how violent films influence female children’s behavior.
  3. To provide recommendations for reducing the harmful impact of violent films on Nigerian female youngsters.

  3. What are the ways the negative effects caused by violent films on Nigerian children can be controlled?
