The Availability And Utilization Of Laboratory Facilities For Effective Teaching And Learning Of Computer Science In Junior Secondary Schools Complete Project Material (PDF/DOC)
This research was carried out to assess the availability and utilization of laboratory facilities for effective teaching and learning of computer science in junior secondary school in Ikwuano. Teachers from each of the selected schools in Ikwuano Local Government Area were randomly exampled. Three research questions were formulated to find out the availability of teaching and learning of computer science. After through review of relevant literature, structured questionnaire was used to collect valid and relevant data which were analyzed and interpreted using Xs and S.D.
The result showed that:-
- Some laboratory facilities are available for teaching and learning computer science in some secondary schools in Ikwuano
- Most of these facilities are not in good working condition
- Time allocated for the students to make use of the available equipment for personal practical are not enough
- Strategies that should be allocated for the supply of laboratory facilities in Ikwuano Secondary Schools include, Government patronage, community participation through P.T.A, also more teachers should be employed and the teachers and students should improved materials for teaching computer science in junior secondary schools. A number of recommendations were given at the end for proper study and teaching of computer science in junior secondary schools.

- To what extent are computer science teachers available in Junior Secondary School in Ikwuano Local Government Area?
- What are the sources of supply of computer science or the availability of computer science laboratory facilities in Junior Secondary School in Ikwuano Local Government Area?
- To what extent does availability of laboratory facilities are effective to the teaching and learning of this subject (computer science)?
