Abstract

This study investigates the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of expectant mothers regarding maternal immunization, with a focus on the role of healthcare providers in promoting vaccination and addressing concerns about its safety. Using a structured questionnaire, data were collected from 120 participants. The results revealed that 82.5% of respondents agreed or strongly agreed that they were well-informed about the benefits of maternal immunization, while 89.1% believed it was essential for infant health. Additionally, 92.5% of mothers felt comfortable discussing vaccination with healthcare providers, and 95% planned to receive vaccinations during pregnancy. The study also found that 87.5% of respondents trusted healthcare providers’ recommendations on immunization, with 90.8% agreeing that healthcare providers effectively addressed safety concerns. These findings underscore the critical role of healthcare professionals in fostering positive attitudes toward maternal immunization. Based on the findings, recommendations were made for improving maternal immunization programs and enhancing communication between healthcare providers and expectant mothers
