Personnel motivation plays a fundamental role in fostering productivity, enhancing job satisfaction, and driving organizational success. Motivated employees are more engaged, committed, and willing to go the extra mile to achieve organizational goals. By recognizing and rewarding their efforts, organizations can cultivate a positive work culture that fosters loyalty and reduces turnover rates. Moreover, motivated personnel are more likely to innovate, problem-solve creatively, and contribute fresh ideas, which can lead to process improvements and competitive advantages in the marketplace. Furthermore, a motivated workforce tends to exhibit higher levels of teamwork and collaboration, fostering a supportive environment where individuals can thrive and grow professionally. Ultimately, the impact of personnel motivation extends beyond individual performance to shape the collective success and reputation of the organization.

ABSTRACT

This research work was concerned with the IMPACT OF PERSONNEL MOTIVATION IN ORGANIZATION a case study of IMT Polytechnic Enugu. It involves all those benefits and influences organizations get as Regards to motivation their personnel properly and adequately. Our major purpose for embarking on this research is to: Evaluate the personnel productivity performance as regard to motivation and to examine and evaluate the extent of which personnel are motivated. We assessed their population giving us a total population of 400 staff including males and females. But we decided to select 100% of that 400, which is 40 staff using Simple Random Sampling Technique. We distributed questionnaires to the 40 staff. We also collected data using a descriptive survey form of research method such as interview, questionnaire, observations and other written records and at the end presented and analyzed our data in tables and pie charts for adequate comprehension by the audience. According to the questionnaires distributed and our observation we found out that: workers are been motivated effectively and they are satisfied with the motivation so far which is why they added more zeal and effort towards achieving the organizations goals and lastly we recommended that workers should always be given good wages and salaries as rewards for labour done because it impacts greatly to the success of the organization and also workers. Security should always be guaranteed so as to help them conveniently but their best.

INTRODUCTION
BACKGROUND OF STUDY
Knowing how and why to motivate employees is an important managerial skill. That is why the issue of worker needs, their motivation and basic job satisfaction are so basic to workers performance, and those persons helping a manager in all facets of activities leading to the achievement of organization goals have to be motivated. Employees motivation is perhaps the biggest driver of organization performances. Ultimately any organization’s key differentiation are its human assets, in other words, its employee. Whereas a system processes and infrastructure can be replicated from one country to another, but human capital cannot.
Any organization which is able to motivate its employees and maintain it, is able to leverage their drive and zeal in order to ensure stellar performance. However, happy motivated employees are indeed better workers and will help to generate a positive work environment that both customers and employees will better appreciate. Gregory P Smith comments on the assets of one organization’s effort to satisfy employees in the articles “HAPPY EMPLOYEES MAKES PRODUCTIVE EMPLOYEES”. When employees attitude are improved by 5%, customers satisfaction jumped 1.3% consequently increasing revenues by 5%. Seeking ways to motivate and build workers morale pays dividend to any business or organization. The motivated workforce is more committed to job and to the customers.
Furthermore, managers have to operate in such a way as to enable their subordinate accomplish their own individual ends as they are helping the organization in its formal goals. The manager has the difficult task of ensuring that the changing needs of employees are being continuously satisfied by the Reward and system in an organization.
Meanwhile, this project is fashioned to look at the impact of personnel in organizations, if workers motivation and job satisfaction are well considered. The objectives would be among all to prevent or at least mitigate crises in work organization.
The word “personnel” means the persons employed in any service and such person can collectively by referred to as workers within an organization. that is the sole reason for coining the topic as “IMPACT OF PERSONNEL MOTIVATION IN ORGANIZATIONS” a case study for the Research IMT Polytechnic Enugu. So this research would x-ray how best to motivate workers in order to achieve greater productivity.

Statement of Problem
IMT polytechnic, in primary establishment to faster and encourage, train workforce for the labour market and the aim objectives cannot just be achieved without Recruitment of adequate and qualified personnel for jobs.
Withstanding, even when personnel are recruited, there exist the need to remunerate, motivate them effectively to avoid Non-challant attitude to work and as well promote the organization goals. This leads to the main problem that resulted to the pursuance of this research, ie to find the benefits an organization gets if the workers are been motivated effectively, which includes:-
(i) Maximum productivity of output
(ii) More zeal and effort will be put towards achieving a better performance.
(iii) Improvement in giving solutions to tackling problems that might serve as a hindrance to the organization success.
(iv) Increase in profit maximization.

Purpose of the Study
The purpose of this research is as follows:
(i) To examine and evaluate the extent of which personnel are motivated.
(ii) To evaluate the personnel productivity performance as regards to motivation.
(iii) To investigate and evaluate the best ways of motivating personnel workers.
(iv) To analyze the problems facing the personnel in any organization and proffer suggestions on ways of improving them.
(v) To ascertain organization roles towards the personnel and its productivity and profit maximization.

Significance of the Study
The significance of this research work is predicted on the transcending importance and effects of personnel motivation in organization and its contribution to the growth and development of the organizational productivity and up-liftment of personnel. Because of the key-role played by motivation in fostering greater output in a firm, a through study analysis and evaluation of the motivation method is a step in the right direction towards, enhancing its effectiveness as an economic parameter and catalyst to achievement of organization goals.
Therefore, this study is timely and relevant at this stage of the Nation socio economic development to highlight the extent to which adequate motivation of personnel in organization can propel the national economy in its course of development. It is also expected that this research work would evaluate the roles of organization towards personnel motivation.
In summary, the significance of this study has in its achievement of the following.
a. Providing a basis for further Research work in the field topic.
b. Drawing the attention of the organization towards following remunerations/motivation packages for personnel to encourage productivity.
c. To ascertain the extent to which organizations has contributed to improvement of conditions of services for personnel.
d. To bring about increased knowledge of the Dangers of inadequate motivation of personnel and hence create a managerial tactis for manager of various organizations.

Research Questions
In This study “IMPACT OF PERSONNEL MOTIVATION IN ORGANIZATIONS”, the researcher intends to provide answers to the following questions:-
(i) How adequate have workers been motivated?
(ii) What are the benefits of motivating workers effectively?
(iii) Are workers satisfied with the motivation so far received from organization?
(iv) Is there any Relationship between personnel motivation and greater productivity?
(v) How best can workers/personnel be motivated to ensure they bring out their best?
(vi) What are the necessary needs of the personnel that can make them best amongst all.
Scope of Study
This research is limited to all personnel recruited in IMT Enugu with bais to those other institution within the Environment.

Definition of Terms
Most terms used in this research work might sound strange but to help clarify the terms, below are the clear meaning of these terms:-
Personnel – Any person(s) employed in an organization to perform any set out functions. It can at times be referred to as workers or staff.
Motivation – Motivation is the set of forces that cause people to choose certain behavior from among the many alternatives open to them.
Satisfaction – Refers to the contentment experienced when a need is fulfilled.
Needs – Are a set of endless mosaic or pattern of wants, desires or requirement which may be physiological {water, air, food, sex etc}.
