This report comprises of my practical experience during my six (6) months SIWES, which consist of three chapters.
Chapter One; outline the introduction, aim and objectives of the SIWES and scope of the report.
Chapter Two; dealt with Reinforced Concrete Drainage Construction processes.
It also include problem encountered, proffered solutions and experienced gained.
Chapter Three; focus mainly on conclusion and recommendation.
1.0 INTRODUCTION
The Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) slated for 6 months which is a requirement for the completion of my course of study, was undertaken at Kwara State Ministry of Works and Transport, Ilorin. As a student attaché at Kwara State Ministry of Works and Transport, Ilorin, I was exposed to Engineering Practical activities which really bridged between the theories learnt in the classroom and the real world practical applications. I had the opportunity to make use of machines such as the Concrete mixing machine, the Excavator and reinforcement sizes etc.
1.1OBJECTIVE OF SIWES
1. SIWES will provide students the opportunity to test their interest in a particular career before permanent commitments are made.
2. SIWES students will develop skills in the application of theory to practical work situations.
