1.0 INTRODUCTION

1.1 BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
Notice board is a surface intended for the posting of public messages, for example, to advertise items wanted or for sale, announce events, or provide information. This notice board is made of a light emitting diode, or they can be placed on the road or public places so people can other people to read and see.

Light-emitting diode (LED) technology is frequently used in signs. This technology, first used primarily at sporting events, later appeared at businesses, churches, schools, and government buildings.

Signs frequently use lighting as a means of conveying their information. Light-emitting diode (LED) is highly use because it is way of way to increase visibility.LED fluoresces and scatters the light. The light transmission through the markers creates a bright and colorful display. LED’s commonly have a half-life (to 1/2 brightness) of 50,000 hours.

LED notice board features various flashing effects that are sure to attract the attention of passersby. The flashing pattern as well as the displayed colors can be cycled with these restaurant signs. These illuminated displays could be hung on any glass surface with the use of some simple suction cups. All of the LED writing boards sold here include wall screws and anchors as well as nylon rope to hang from the overhead. Use these flashing write-on signs as an advertising medium in a restaurant or nightclub. Bar owners choose these LED writing boards to announce live bands appearing throughout the week, or to list the featured drink specials. The framing on these advertising signs are solid metal with a black painted finish. The profile on these LED writing boards is one inch deep, thereby conforming to ADA requirements for items mounted on a wall. Choose one of these restaurants signs today for your café or coffee shop.

These LED sign board is the ideal neon board for growing revenue and customer base. This illuminated restaurant sign is a great way to customize advertising messages for your store, hotel, casino lounge or other business. These LED writing boards feature a clear acrylic covering that is easily cleaned. Use a wet-erase marker to create your own customized fluorescent board. This LED sign board, also known as an advertising signs, feature small lights running the perimeter of the black frame. When this illuminated signage is turned on, these lights make your graphics glow, as if under a black light. These LED writing boards also have the capability to be illuminated with no blinking lights. These illuminated menu signs will certainly attract attention of patrons. This LED sign board looks best in dimly lit settings such as bars, night clubs and restaurants. The lighting technology in these menu displays is quite advanced. This LED sign board feature bright, equally distributed lighting so that even the center of the unit is bright. There are no hot and cold spots on any of these restaurant menu displays. Additionally, with these LED writing boards there is never any need to worry about light bulbs being blown. The technology on these menu signs uses diodes as the primary source of light.

1.2 PROBLEM STATEMENT
In the last time, information display boards are mostly paper-based before the invention of LED display board, and this has created inconvenience of showing the targeted people information during rainy days because the papers would be wet and wear out. Besides, it would be the possibility of the paper is not pasted on the board properly and dropped easily. After LED is introduced to the public, it is cleverly used to show information to public. However, again the problem arises when human resources, time and costs are wasted to change the information on display board placed at different locations one by one. Thus, this system is created to improvise the conventional method in such a way that the same messages can be sent to multiple LED display boards from one main system.

1.3 PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT
The main purpose of signboard is communication, to convey information such that its receiver can make cognitive decisions based on the information provided. In general, electronic sign board can be classified into the following functions:

(a). Information: signs giving information about services and facilities, e.g., maps, directories, instructions for use, etc.

(b)Direction: signs leading to services, facilities, functional spaces and key areas, e.g., sign posts, directional arrows, etc.

(c)Identification: signs indicating services and facilities, e.g., room names and numbers, toilet signs, number of floors, etc.

(d)Safety and Regulatory: signs giving warning or safety instructions, e.g., warning signs, traffic signs, exit signs, rules and regulations.

1.4 OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT

MORE DESCRIPTION:

“Design and Construction of an LED Display System” refers to the process of creating a visual display system using Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs). LED displays are widely used in various applications, ranging from electronic billboards and digital signage to large screens in stadiums and arenas. These displays offer benefits such as high brightness, energy efficiency, and the ability to display vibrant colors and dynamic content.

The process of designing and constructing an LED display system involves several steps:

  1. Requirements and Design: This phase involves defining the requirements of the LED display system, such as the intended usage, viewing distance, size, resolution, and content types. Based on these requirements, a design is created that outlines the arrangement and layout of the LEDs, the pixel pitch (distance between individual LEDs), and the overall structure of the display.
  2. Component Selection: LED displays consist of numerous components, including LEDs, driving circuitry, power supplies, control systems, and structural elements. During this phase, components are selected based on factors like brightness, color accuracy, durability, and compatibility with the intended environment.
  3. Construction: The construction phase involves physically assembling the LED display system. This includes mounting the LEDs onto a backing material or board, connecting the driving circuitry, and ensuring the structural integrity of the display. Attention to detail is crucial to ensure proper alignment and functioning of the LEDs.
  4. Electronics and Control: LED displays require driving circuitry to control the brightness and color of individual LEDs. This involves designing and implementing electronics that can convert input signals (such as video feeds or images) into control signals for the LEDs. Control systems can be quite complex, especially for large displays or displays that require real-time synchronization.
  5. Testing and Calibration: After construction, the LED display system undergoes rigorous testing to identify and rectify any defects or malfunctions. This may involve testing individual LEDs, verifying color accuracy, ensuring uniform brightness across the display, and testing various display scenarios.
  6. Content Management: Once the LED display system is operational, content management becomes crucial. This involves creating and scheduling content to be displayed, whether it’s advertisements, videos, images, or text. Content management systems are used to remotely update and manage the display’s content.
  7. Maintenance and Upkeep: LED displays, like any electronic systems, require ongoing maintenance to ensure their longevity and optimal performance. Regular cleaning, software updates, and component replacements might be necessary over time.

Designing and constructing an LED display system can range from small-scale projects like indoor signage to complex, large-scale installations like outdoor video walls. The process involves a combination of engineering, electronics, software development, and creative design to create visually appealing and functional displays.
