Abstract
This study is aimed at identifying the role of the school management, parents teachers association and other relevant members of the community in meeting the needs of the school child in Dutse Local Government Area of Jigawa state. The instrument used for collection of data or information in this research is mainly the questionnaire. The research questionnaire was administered to selected primary schools in Dutse Local Government Area of Jigawa state. It was discovered that many of the respondents of this research is as result of knowing how important the PTA in in meeting the needs of the school child. Some findings were made in this research, which in the school to develop the place of parents teacher association in Nigeria.

Introduction
1.1 Background to the Study
The act of on knowledge from one generation to another is the role of the parent. The parent are more effective in imparting discipline and knowledge to pupils at the very grass root level , it is therefore a knowledge fact that all parents have the natural inclination to give their children the good things of life they are capable of providing for them. And in the modern age, the major task is on the provision of quality education and good standard of living, in the light of this, parent have developed a very positive interest in what goes on in schools. This interest of parents in the education of their children in schools that give birth to the organization or formation called Parents teachers association. During the later year of 19th century, the parent/teachers association was first organization by a group of American women. The first meeting called the national congress of mother was actually held in 1877. It was this meeting that stimulated the founding of the national congress of parents and teachers which now goes by the name parent / teachers association (PTA), now included in curricular development policy making and setting standards in schools. Abiola A.O. (1967) since parent teachers association is concerned with pupils welfare and all round development that is why parents are giving a role in the administration of primary school. This means that the parent teachers association is interested in the cooperation of the school system. If the school is to achieve its goals, meet the need of pupils and fulfill the expectation of parent, there should be linkage between the teachers and parents. Parents are experienced people who are conversant with child.
Education is a fundamental right which every child must acquire in any decent society, it is important for the development of individuals and societies. Education which is of greater values and ethics of the society, from one generation to its succeeding generations, in bid to know whether an individual is learned or knowledgeable, the criterion to use in measuring the standard of such individual education, that is to say it will try to bring by the individual local government branch of the association as regard to the development reached so far in primary education in the research. Also the project will provide readers with useful data for further usage in similar research work. At the end, the research will identify problems associated with parent teachers association and provide possible solutions to the problems
1.2 Statement of the Problem
Many factors gave rise to the formation of parent/teachers association in schools in Dutse local government Jigawa state, it is likely that there is lack of school facilities and could be due to shortage of manpower which may involve parent teachers association (PTA) negotiation, and again it may be as a result of inadequate provision school materials to pupils. All these problems attracts the intervention of the Parent Teachers Association (PTA) it is probably weather Parent Teachers Association (PTA) are acting to assist school in matters relating to day to day activities. Thus a formal research on this problem on the influence of PTA in administrative is needed to suggest the solution.
The need to identify the role played by parent/teachers association in the development of education has connection with increasing falling standard of education in the public schools in particular; education and the quality it carries determine the level of a nation development. Various indicators especially the product of the educational system in Dutse showed that the standard was on the decline, the work reviewed confirmed that educational standard have actually fall in Dutse local government.
1.3 Objective of the Study
The main objective of this study is to examine the Role Of The School Management, Parents Teachers Association And Other Relevant Members Of The Community In Meeting The Needs Of The School Child. Specifically, the study aims:
- To examine the Role Of The School Management
- To examine the activities of Parent Teacher Association in schools
- To examine the roles of parents on their responsibilities concerning their children
- To analyzed the achievement of parents/teachers association towards educational development in Dutse local government area of Jigawa state as the study area of this research work.
- To identify problems associated with parent/teachers association and its operation in relation to development of education and provide possible solution to the problems in Dutse local government Jigawa state.

1.5 Significance of the Study
In this research, efforts are directed to make an academic exercise which will broaden our knowledge on empirical experience on the subject matter. The research will throw more light on the role of parent’s teacher association in the development of education. The influence of parent/ teachers association in the administration of schools is of great importance. Quite very often people attributed the success of most schools administrative of the existence of strong Parent Teachers Association (PTA) organization in schools. This research is therefore significant in the sense that it will throw more light on what the student, teachers, and head teacher and the general public to perceive the influence of Parent Teachers Association (PTA) in school administration.
1.6 Scope of the Study
The study will be limited to Dutse local government area of Jigawa state; it is mainly concern with the role of parent/teachers association within the study area. The size of the study is limited to 90 workers
1.7 Limitations of the Study
This research work is specifically on the Role Of The School Management, Parents Teachers Association And Other Relevant Members Of The Community In Meeting The Needs Of The School Child. In the limitation on research work of this magnitude or nature can be carried out without limitation. Hence, during the course, certain constraints were encountered.
Cost:
The cost of thorough research is not what can be afforded by a student. The prices of materials needed for this work has gone up and transport fee has also gone up.
Time:
The time was one of the limitations in the process of carrying out this research work.
Scarcity of Literature:
The research encountered some problems in collection of literature especially on the bank History and operations. This are hindered the smooth running of this work.

While the third chapter is methods of data collection, sampling and data analysis used in conducting the study. The fourth chapter centres around the research findings including an analysis of how it relates to previous findings. The fifth chapter consists of the summary of findings, conclusion and recommendations base on the study objectives.
