Abstract
The purpose of this study is to access the knowledge of appropriate tooth brushing methods among the among students of Iganmode Grammar School, Sango Ota, Ogun State. A total of two hundred (100) questionnaires were administered. The study design that would be used in this research would be descriptive design which would describe the assessment of knowledge of proper tooth brushing method among students. The review was presented on the following sub-heading the toothbrush and the techniques of toothbrush, its effect, and type of toothbrush. The information collected, also confirmed that people who lack oral education and good oral hygiene practices would experience periodontal gum which may lead to other health problems such as loss of teeth, weakened immune system, cardiovascular disease. The use of brush and fluorides should be encouraged in the prevention of dental diseases. Smokers tend to collect more tartar on their teeth, quitting smoking can play a major role in bringing periodontitis under control. It will enable us to educate the less educated on how to brush properly and to teach the fact of dental health, to promote proper attitudes which include good diets habits, oral hygiene and professional care.

The Purpose of this study is to access the knowledge of appropriate tooth brushing methods among the among students of Iganmode Grammar School, Sango Ota, Ogun State:
The main purpose are: -
- To access the knowledge of the students on appropriates tooth brushing techniques
- To access the level of wrong brushing methods among the students.
- To access the risk of the students using contaminated toothbrush.
- To educate people on how to use and maintain toothbrush.
- To examined people who have toothbrush problem

Summary, Conclusion and Recommendation
5.1 Summary
With the view of the study which focuses on the knowledge, attitude and practice of tooth brushing among ogun state college of health technology student. The first chapter clarify some concepts concerning knowledge, attitude and practices related problems. These was done to ensure that the researcher understands the concept and to remove any difficulty that might arise in the process of interpretation. The objectives of the study, significance, scope and statement of the problem were also discussed in this chapter.
Chapter two focuses on the review of literature and works already done. These was done to ensure that better understanding of the study as it reveals what other authors have done around the topic. The review was presented on the following sub-heading the toothbrush and the techniques of tooth brushing, its effect, and type of toothbrush
Chapter three focused on the research methodology and design, population of the study, sample size and sampling techniques, research instrument which was questionnaire, method of data collection and method of data analysis.
In the fourth chapter, proper collation analysis and interpretation of data collected through the field work was done using simple percentage, bar chat and Chi-square method of inferential statistics to test for the research hypothesis.
5.2 Conclusion
It can be deduced from various data and information collected during this research project that dues to lack of awareness about the brushing techniques can be the major cause of bleeding during tooth brushing and other gum disease, when good brushing techniques oral hygiene practices are not adopted among the students.
From another perspective piercing of the gum by sharp objects would lead to periodontal disease because use of hard toothbrush for tooth brushing and use of wood tooth picking can cause removal of the enamel and wearing of the gum which leads to periodontal gun diseases:

5.3 Recommendation
Dental diseases are generally preventable with timely oral care, supplemented by screening, education and a few inexpensive public health measures. The following recommendations were however suggested:
- The use of brush and fluorides should be encouraged in the prevention of dental diseases.
- Eating a balanced diet and limiting snacks can prevent tooth decay and periodontal disease.
- The Fédération Dentaire Internationale (FDI World Dental Federation) has promoted foods such as raw vegetables, plain yogurt, cheese, or fruit as dentally beneficial in prevention of tooth decay.
- Smoking increases the risk of periodontal disease, the longer you smoke, and the more you smoke, the higher the risk. If you have periodontal disease, smoking makes it more severe. Smoking is a major reason that some cases of periodontal disease are resistant to treatment. Smokers tend to collect more tartar on their teeth, quitting smoking can play a major role in bringing periodontal disease under control.
- Stress can make periodontal disease worse and harder to treat. Stress weakens the body's immune system. This makes it harder for your body to fight off infection, including periodontal disease, therefore avoid stress.
